As part of the NHS response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made changes to the services we provide
For those in need of urgent support regarding their mental health you can contact our dedicated mental health access line on 0808 196 3002 where you will have an opportunity to access mental health support.
For those seeking general mental health support and guidance you can also access the following resources where you may find the advice or help you are looking for:
The CAMHS Early Years’ Service helps young children and their families when a child is experiencing emotional or behavioural problems. We tend to get involved when other forms of support are not enough on their own, or when the problem is particularly difficult.
We also offer support when difficulties are being experienced with the relationship between a parent and child.
We work with young children who aren’t old enough to be at school full time yet. If we start seeing you before your child begins at school we may be able to carry on supporting you once your child goes to school. However, this will depend upon the nature of the support required.

The Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) work in the Seisdon Peninsula area.
The team works with children and young people and other professionals to increase their awareness and understanding of the emotional health issues that affect young people.
This means that the teacher or other professional (e.g. school nurse or family support worker) may be able to help the young person without having to make a referral into CAMHS.
To contact PMHT contact Stafford CAMHS on telephone: 01785 221665.
The Paediatric Psychology Team only works with young people who are experiencing distress related to their physical health.
We see children and young people with a variety of health problems and/or life limiting conditions.
This includes adjusting to a new diagnosis, coping with treatments or invasive procedures, managing pain or fatigue or dealing with the family impact of physical health.
A referral is needed from a GP, paediatrician or any health professional. They should contact us at:
