Welcome to CAMHS. We are a children, young people and families service offering support and advice on a wide range of emotional difficulties that people might experience. We have a wide variety of professionals working in our team, from Nurses and Doctors to Youth Workers and Therapists.

On this website you’ll find lots of useful resources for self help and further support options. It might also be helpful to speak to people around you such as your parents, Teachers and School Nurse. They might be able to offer some advice or help think about whether a CAMHS referral is right for you. If it isn’t they may be able to tell you about other helpful local services.

Whether you are here for yourself or a loved one, we hope that you find this website helpful. In life we don’t always know how to ask for help, but visiting this website is a great first step.

South Staffordshire CAMHS Online Parent Support Group

Online Parent Support Group Feb 2022.jpgJoin Bethan Baëz-Devine (CAMHS Clinician), Chanté Williamson (Senior Parent Support Worker), and other local CAMHS families for a virtual meet-up in a safe and supportive environment.

We meet every Wednesday during term time between 1pm-2.30pm via Zoom. If you would like to join us, you can register in advance by clicking this South Staffs CAMHS Online Parent Support Group Zoom registration link (after registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting).

Alternatively, you can join or find out more about the group by contacting one of the following routes:

We offer a relaxed atmosphere of friendship and support in a safe space, with occasional learning from guest speakers from local support services and charities. We welcome all families whose children are struggling with their mental health or going through CAMHs, through what can be an overwhelming and bewildering experience for many.

Evidence shows that children’s mental health improves when families and carers also receive help and support. We hope that by offering this service, the wellbeing of the whole family, not just the child or young person, will improve.

We hope to see you soon.
